Don Ricardo's Restaurant

First time coming here in a few years. Always loved the decor, bright colors, and the sun room patio is very nice. I'm surprised that they haven't updated their menu items. Even their drink menu is VERY basic. I do like how it's a very authentic, nostalgic place. I ordered the same combo dish (#6) from 6 years and a margarita which wasn't my favorite- too sweet for my liking, also about $9. However, the service was great. Very polite staff.

Made a reservation here and specially told them I wanted to sit outside, got there and gave me the worst table ever. Even though I made the reservation a week in advance. It was my third time but the last one. My mom’s food was cold and my dad’s tacos were disgusting; Taco bell would’ve done it better!

This place is an oldie but goodie. It has been here a very long time, and for a good reason. Good food, great sangria, good service and I have loved the courtyard setting inside for a long time. I hadn't been there in a bit and it's still is a very good dining experience.

Cheap liquor made us sick. I had a sangria and my fiancee had a pinacolada. food was too salty and disgusting. also there were only 3 tables occupied, yet we were rushed. STAY AWAY!

I'm so devistated that they have closed down after 30 years they were the most authentic Mexican cuisine in the area the owner and staff you couldn't ask for better. The mayor and the developers that are taking over that town are destroying it! They should be ashamed of themselves! Good luck to the owner of Don Ricardo's. I have so many fond memories of visits there and now my children will not be able to have the same experiences. Along with the historical buildings and history of such a wonderful town. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Delicious Authentic Mexican food, Authentic place, the waiters are dressed beautifully. Great chicken quesadillas, and flautas.

Alright, let me start with the greeting. It was warm and welcome, and I didn't have to wait to be seated. I was not happy with the appetizers, I ordered guacamole and Mussels in green sauce, as a Mexican restaurant you should serve guacamole fresh not cold refrigerated and Mussels in green sauce had no taste (I don't think they added salt). The picture I posted it's my entree mixed seafood (I don't recall the name) but they add a lot of gravy on top of my rice and seafood it was disgusting. I ordered a separate order of yellow rice because I was unhappy. I would not recommend anyone to go there.

We decided to try a new Restaurant For the first time. We were welcomed in seated quicky up by the waiter station..the Restaurant wasn't crowded. We endured the talking & moving of plates noise while waiting for our waiter to appear which took quite some time. Again not busy..we didntHad to ask the water server to get us drinks. The waiter finally came Back to take our order (no personality) didnt ask if we had any questions about the menu..nothing.Food took some time & let me say was not good at all. A large plate of Fajitas with only 3 taco breads. Cold rice & beans..not at all what we expected. The saving grace of the evening were the tasty well made margaritas.

It's been better. If you sit in the front it's dark and you loose the atmosphere. Food was just OK green Verdi sauce was good but came loaded with peas??? Shrimp were ether over cooked or frozen or both, very rubbery.

I've come here before plenty of times, and I must say tonight just plain sucked. Waited half an hour and 2 baskets of chips before we got menus after asking twice. Food was just so-so. Never got that hot sauce I asked for. People just seemed plain lackadaisical about their job. Theres plenty of better Mexican/Hispanic places to eat

I used to like this place, it went down hill... Nobody came to take our drink order. finally they did and we didn't get our drinks for a very long time. I had to tell the maitre d that nobody took off food order and we were getting full on the chips they kept on putting down .bathrooms with very dirty. One was flooded. And when another woman told them she walked away ,two women that work there laughed at her.i heard this cause I was waiting on line to use the restroom. Had a chicken enchilada,it was dry. Mostly everybody got fajitas they told me the meat was hard. I will never go back.

Don Ricardo's has great food, affordable prices and beautiful atmosphere, but only if you're willing to wait for it. When you are first seated, the give you water and chips with salsa, but after that, it takes forever for them to take your drink order. Once your drinks arrive, they take your food order, and that takes a lifetime to come out. All in all a good place...as long as you don't mind waiting.

called for takeout 1 hour before closing, they said they didn't want to make anymore orders because it was raining and it was busy all day. Great service

The food was great. They are very accommodating here. We were able to make a weekend dinner reservation for a party of 11, and it was ready and waiting when we arrived. The staff was friendly and eager to assist with questions. As for the food quality, I have nothing but good to say. My meal, and my family's meals were fantastic. Go check it out.

I haven't been here in years, but my wife and I loved this place. We were in the area, so we decide to go here with the children. It wasn't very crowded so we thought we can get a table quickly. We're pretty much ignored for 20 minutes while he stood in the cold waiting area. Once we finally got a table, the waitress ignored us again. I finally had to flag waiter down and Order. The waitress finally came over to take out for her while our food was coming out. The food was delicious but the service was pretty terrible. When you have a bunch of children in a restaurant it's tough to keep them contained if there's nothing to do and there's no food on the table.

Chicken liver, dishes of warn fresh chips and some fresh salsa. This place has been a go to Spanish/Mexican fusion before there were fusion restaurants. Sangria here is always a hit, the margaritas as well. I usually go for the Paella this time had the steak. Great place to bring the family, atrium in the back creates a unique dining experience.

Food was fresh.. Tasted amazing.. Service was wonderful... A must go to.. I would recommended making reservations on the weekends.. Just to be safe.. This place is always packed.Update.... They have closed..... 😫😥

the place looks good in decoration, but the food is nothing about what it seems, I ordered a Valencian paella with lobster, and more like rice with chicken and vegetables, the price was $ 26 (for rice with chicken?) at the end in the handwritten invoice added 18% tip, was not even tabulated by a machine, nor were we offered more drinks. in the end I do not recommend it and I would not go back

One of the first restaurants I ate at when I moved to the area. At least once a year I go back to just reflect and enjoy the welcoming family atmosphere. The food is well portioned and always good.

Girl up front was rude , nasty and disgusting new owner don't care and they will be out of business very soon.Place got old .there are more and better options around now this days

Soggy taco's were missing cheese and the sangria is usually alot better. Not sure it was worth the money. Small portions of guacamole was way too expensive. But the service was good and they people are very nice. The atmosphere is fun and festive.

Do yourself a favor and go to Chipotle insteadfor some “authentic” Mexican Food
